About WPPC

We gather for worship every Sunday at 10:00am. A nursery is provided for infants and young children. Sunday School classes for children and adults meet at 9:00am.
We are a welcoming Christian family that is neither too big nor too small. You will find yourself becoming friends with those who you worship beside through fellowship activities, service projects, classes, meals, choirs, and more. In Jesus the Christ we encounter Emmanuel (God-With-Us!!!) who calls us to love God with all of our heart, mind, and strength and calls us to love our neighbor as ourselves. We believe that Jesus calls his disciples (us?!?) to rise and follow him into ministry in all the world. We believe that we are called to love every person as a beloved child of God. Come be a part of our family of faith!
We are a community built around study of the Bible and propelled by that study out into the community to serve. Through sermons that draw out the Biblical stories and connect them with our present lives, through Bible Studies and classes that dive deeper into the text, through worship that seeks to tell God’s stories through words and music (and occasionally art and drama), and through opportunities for children and youth to encounter the Bible creatively, we are a family of faith that is nourished by the Bible. From that encounter with God’s Word and through the teachings, parables, and examples of Jesus, we feel called to love and serve our neighbors. Our members volunteer to feed the hungry, house the homeless, and spread the justice of God’s kingdom. Come hear and tell of God’s wonderful good news!

Our music ministry is at the center of our life of worship together. Our voice, handbell, ukulele and children’s choirs raise up joyful songs to God as we gather to worship. Come join us as we lift our voices and sing!

We love to join in fellowship with each other. Presbyterians (as most people) love to eat! We share many meals together. Each month we have a breakfast served in our fellowship hall. Our “Young at Heart” senior adults gather for a monthly covered dish and program. We take bus trip adventures all around our region and rejoice in the wonders to explore which surround us. Our children and youth have regular opportunities to enjoy food and fellowship. We have many special events through the year that involve food. Food and fellowship are some of the ways in which we express our love and care for each other. We love to eat, and we hope to share a table with you!

We share the gifts we have been given. Our church hosts a week-day preschool which provides a caring environment for young children to learn. http://www.wppc-preschool.org/ Many community organizations including Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts, AA, and NA groups find an home within our walls. As a church community we give a significant portion of our resources to help other people – locally and around the world. We collect food for local hunger ministries. A large part of our identity is helping others and providing a place of welcome and hospitality. Come help us help others!
